We are off to a great start, with the facelift of the club house, you know a little paint here and
there makes a world of difference, and we have received many compliments from our renters. We have several events we have
been working on, our LEAP Preschool at Nitro Elementary school, has put all our donations to good use and they so needed these
items, and will continue to need tissues, wipes, and craft supply that you may have left over. We also have Christmas for
Kids program we will be donating $100 worth of toys and any other donations you would like to send, they accept
Just
about anything from toys to food. Breakfast with Santa will be held at the club house on Dec. 4th from 9 till 11,
so we need to get the club house ready for Santa and his elves, November 28th will be our day to decorate the Club
house anyone wishing to help can call me for time.
Along with Holidays and year end activities comes our yearly reporting deadline and it’s approaching
us sooner than later. With this newsletter I will be sending you a sheet for you to record all your volunteer time, what it
was for and how long you volunteered please this is very important for our club this reports are what give us the Honor and
Superior points and wins us rewards in March at the Convention. If you have any questions again please call me if I do not
have the answer we will find someone who does.
I wanted to bring up our year books,
a lot of time, went to putting these together so that could be used with the greatest of ease. It is important to bring them to all functions, so that you may jot things down on your
calendars, and at times there will be inserts for you to put in so please remember your red year book.
Last but most important,
I wanted to welcome our 6 new members: Velva, Debra , Julia, Mistie , Leslie, and Kim. We are so glad you have joined us and
hope you feel at home with us. A Big Hand goes out to Rita for inviting our new members!!!!
The Winter Holidays
are now upon us, we all have very busy schedules, I hope all have a wonderful and Safe Thanksgiving and a Very Merry Christmas.
